“the saganaki ritual never gets old regardless of how many times you have seen it”
Keftedes
$19.00
Lamb and beef meatballs served with tomato sauce and tzatziki.
“Sat at the bar alone on a Monday evening and it turned into one of the better solo dining experiences I have had in San Francisco. The ouzo selection was a conversation in itself and the bartender was the right kind of company. The keftedes and a mezze plate rounded the evening out well.”
Spanakopita
$14.00
Spinach and feta phyllo pie served with house-made tzatziki.
“Such a memorable dinner at Milos Taverna. We started with the Oktapodi, Arnisia Plevrakia, and Spanakopita—all were excellent, but the Spanakopita was something special: perfectly crisp, delicate, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. For the mains, the Garides Souvlaki and Chicken Souvlaki were both outstanding—beautifully seasoned, incredibly fresh, and cooked just right. The Garides Souvlaki in particular was a standout. A special mention to the manager, Batu—warm, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. His hospitality added a personal touch to an already excellent dinner. We’ll definitely be back.”
Horiatiki Salata
$18.00
Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, onion, olives, and feta.
“We enjoyed our experience at Milos Taverna very much. The ambiance was very nice, and the Greek style paintings on the walls added to the authentically Greek feeling inside the restaurant. We ordered several things for my family of four to share, including hummus, Greek salad, keftedes, lamb souvlaki and moussaka. It was all delicious. Our waiter recommended a Greek red wine to go with the meal. It was a very pleasant surprise as I know nothing about Greek wine.”
Milos Salata
$17.00
Arugula, walnuts, tomatoes, olives, Parmesan and dried figs.
Moussaka Vegetarian
$30.00
Baked eggplant, potato, and zucchini casserole with béchamel.
“Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a little slice of Greece - warm, lively, and welcoming. The food was outstanding: perfectly grilled meats, fresh seafood, and the most flavorful tzatziki I’ve had outside of Greece. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff clearly takes pride in what they do. This is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. We can't wait to come back!!”
Greek Fries
$9.00
French fries topped with feta and mildly spicy garlic-yogurt sauce.
“I ordered the keftedes on doordash & they were so delicious! 10/10. Seasoned beautifully, really juicy, and scored perfectly. The tzatziki was also very nice and refreshing to pair it with. Also got the Greek fries. Portions were very generous. I’m excited to try more menu items and come visit in person!!”
Lavraki
$46.00
Whole Mediterranean sea bass with lemon, garlic, olive oil, and arugula.
“Visited for the second time this month and the food held up exactly as it had the first time. The octopus, the sea bass, and the baklava are the three things I will always order here. The wine list still has bottles I have not worked through yet.”
Solomos
$38.00
Baked salmon with creamy spinach sauce and horiatiki salad.
Chicken Souvlaki
$33.00
Marinated chicken skewers with peppers, onion, potatoes, and tzatziki.
“Stunning ambience that really made us feel like we were in the Greek isles! The staff were very welcoming, the owner came by and greeted everyone at their tables, and the food was delicious. The Greek wine was lovely too, and they had many options as well as a full bar. As fans of both Milo’s locations, we recommend the Chicken Souvlaki, the Acuka and Muhamara apps, and the baklava or ice cream for dessert! Taverna has an assortment of in-house baked Greek pastries, which we got a sampler of, but I can’t name any of them”
Beef Souvlaki
$37.00
Marinated beef skewers with peppers, onion, roasted potatoes, and tzatziki.
“It took me a long time to find a great Greek restaurant in the city, and this is the one! Delicious food and very friendly service. I loved their hummus, tzatziki, zucchini fritters, Horiatiki salad, and beef souvlaki. Will definitely come back!”
